- Adobe Creative Cloud is a collection of desktop and mobile applications and services used for designing print and online media assets, video editing, web development, photography, and more. Adobe Creative Cloud includes a full range of options, from classic essentials like Photoshop and Illustrator, to next gen tools like Adobe XD CC, Portfolio.
- Adobe strongly recommends that you do not uninstall the Creative Cloud desktop app. However, in certain scenarios like a corrupted Creative Cloud desktop app, or problems installing some Creative Cloud apps, you can uninstall the Creative Cloud desktop app.
Creative Cloud for desktop is a great place to start any creative project. Quickly launch and update your desktop apps; manage and share your assets stored in Creative Cloud; download fonts from Adobe Typekit or high-quality royalty-free assets right within the app; and showcase and discover creative work on Behance.
To start using Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as Photoshop and Illustrator, you must first download and install the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop app. This app allows you to select and download only the Adobe applications you want to install.
Once installed, you can then begin installing individual applications.
- Visit https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud/desktop-app.html
- Click Sign In in the upper right. If you are already signed in please see our FAQ regarding signing out from your personal Adobe ID.
- At the Sign in page enter your full BU email address and select Continue.
- At Select an account screen select Company or School Account
- At the BU Login screen enter your BU username and password and select Continue.
- Select Download to install the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App using instructions below.
Mac

- Save the Creative Cloud Application
- Open Spotlight Search (Magnifying Glass in the top right corner of your desktop)
- Type Downloads
- Press Enter on your keyboard
- Double click on CreativeCloudInstaller.dmg
- Double click to install
- You may be prompted to confirm, if so, click Open
- When prompted, type in the password for your computer
- Sign in and start using Adobe Creative Cloud

- Save the Creative Cloud Application
- Open the Start Menu (Located in the bottom left hand corner of your desktop)
- Type Downloads
- Press Enter on your keyboard
- Double click on CreativeCloudSet-Up.exe
- The Creative Cloud Application will install on your computer
- Sign in and start using Adobe Creative Cloud Application
Installing Individual Applications

3. Click Install next to the products you wish to install
4. Once installed, you can start using your applications

Note:

These instructions only apply to an MDC user with access to Adobe with their MDC email address. In case the user is not sure, he/she must first contact their local CNS department and verify or request access to Adobe Creative Cloud before proceeding with these instructions.
To get started, simply download your first app from the Adobe website. The Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app—which you will use to manage future downloads—is installed at the same time.
If you have Adobe Creative Cloud app installed on your computer, you can open it and skip to Step 3.
How to install a Creative Cloud app
When you download your first app, the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app installs first. The Creative Cloud desktop app can be used to install other Creative Cloud apps among others.

- Sign in to the Creative Cloud website with your full MDC email address and select Continue.
- At MDC Login screen enter your MDC email address and password and click on Sign in
- Click Download for the app you want to install. Your app begins to download.
- Double-click the downloaded file to launch the installer. The name of the downloaded file is:
- Once the installer window opens, sign in to your Adobe account. The Creative Cloud desktop app launches automatically and installs your app.
- Note: If you are already signed in to Creative Cloud two other computers, you are prompted to sign out from any one of them.
- Sign in to the Creative Cloud website with your full MDC email address and select Continue.
